Consentement du candidat et autorisation de vérification.

VeriCam only performs credential verification after explicit applicant authorisation. Consent defines the credential being verified, the recipient organisation, the purpose of the verification and the scope of permitted disclosure — protecting applicants, institutions and verification integrity.

Why consent is required

Consent is the foundation of verification legitimacy.

VeriCam reaches into your educational history on your behalf. That requires explicit applicant authorisation — not implied consent, not blanket terms-of-service consent. Every verification carries a signed authorisation linking three things: the credential being verified, the recipient who will receive the result, and the purpose of the verification.

  • Consent-controlled workflows
  • Recipient-bound disclosure
  • Audit-preserved operations
  • QR re-verification support
  • Public verification without document exposure
  • Revocable until report issuance
Consent workflow

From authorisation to disclosure.

Six controlled stages. Each stage has a named actor, is audit-logged, and operates within the scope of the applicant's signed authorisation.

  1. 01
    Applicant signs authorisation
    Applicant

Identifies the credential, the named recipient and the verification purpose.

  2. 02
    Consent recorded
    VeriCam

Signed authorisation hashed and linked to the case; audit-logged.

  3. 03
    Institution outreach
    VeriCam compliance

VeriCam contacts the issuing Cameroonian institution through its published official channel.

  4. 04
    Institution confirms records
    Issuing institution

The registrar's office confirms (or partially confirms / does not confirm) the credential.

  5. 05
    Report issued to named recipient
    VeriCam Global, L.L.C.

Disclosure is limited to the recipient identified in the consent — no one else.

  6. 06
    Public re-verification
    Anyone with the verification ID

The public portal exposes only status, dates, institution and credential category. Documents stay private.

What you authorise VeriCam to do
  • Contact the issuing institution

Through the institution's published official channel only — never a contact provided by the recipient.

  • Share credential details for verification

The minimum metadata needed for the institution to locate and confirm the record.

  • Receive institutional confirmation

Verified / partially verified / not verified / unable to verify — recorded in the case.

  • Generate a verification report

Bilingual EN · FR, tamper-evident verification ID, QR re-verifiable.

  • Disclose results to the named recipient only

The recipient organisation and contact person identified in the authorisation.

What VeriCam will never do
  • Sell or commercialise applicant data

Applicant data is processed solely to deliver the authorised verification.

  • Publicly expose uploaded documents

Documents stay server-side; the public portal never displays them.

  • Disclose reports outside authorised recipients

Outside-scope disclosure requires a new applicant authorisation.

  • Modify institutional records

VeriCam is a verification intermediary — not a registrar of credentials.

  • Replace official institutional authority

We do not award, amend or revoke qualifications. We confirm what the institution attests.

Disclosure boundary

What is public — and what never is.

Public re-verification is intentionally minimal. Adjudicators get the fields they need to make a decision; everything else stays private to the case participants and within the institution's records.

Publicly disclosed
8 fields
  • Verification ID
  • Verification outcome
  • Validity state (VALID / EXPIRED / REVOKED / SUPERSEDED)
  • Issuing institution
  • Credential category
  • Graduation / award year
  • Issuance and expiry dates
  • Masked applicant initials
Never publicly disclosed
6 fields
  • Uploaded transcripts and certificates
  • Passport or national ID copies
  • Full applicant name and date of birth
  • Internal institutional communications
  • Officer notes and internal verification evidence
  • Sensitive applicant records
Recipient-bound disclosure

Verification results go only to the named recipient.

Verification results are disclosed only:

  • to the named recipient (organisation and contact person) identified in the consent,
  • for the authorised purpose stated in the consent,
  • within the consent scope approved by the applicant.

Disclosure to a different recipient — or for a different purpose — requires a new applicant authorisation. The public authenticity portal exists separately and exposes only the minimum metadata listed above; it is not a disclosure channel for the report itself.

Consent revocation

Withdrawing consent.

Before report issuance

Applicants may revoke authorisation at any time before the report is issued. Withdrawals are honoured immediately — pending verification work stops, and the institutional outreach is closed with a documented revocation note.

Submit revocations in writing to [email protected].

After report issuance

Once a report has been issued to the authorised recipient, the prior disclosure cannot be retracted from that recipient. Applicants retain the right to request report revocation (marks the public record as withdrawn), deletion of underlying data, and objection to further processing.

Institutional neutrality

VeriCam is not an awarding authority.

VeriCam does not award qualifications, amend institutional records or replace official academic authorities. The platform operates solely as a verification and reporting intermediary between issuing Cameroonian institutions and adjudicating recipients abroad.

  • Cameroonian institutions retain full authority over their academic records
  • VeriCam confirms what the institution attests — nothing more
  • Disagreements between applicants and institutions remain with the institution
  • Public authenticity portal accurately reflects revocations or supersessions
