Comprendre les rapports VeriCam.

VeriCam reports describe the outcome of a primary-source credential verification process and should be interpreted within the scope, evidence and methodology stated in the report. This page is the authoritative interpretation framework for adjudicators relying on a VeriCam record.

What a VeriCam report is

A VeriCam report is a documented statement that, on the date of issuance and based on the evidence cited, the named applicant's named credential was confirmed (or not confirmed) by the named Cameroonian issuing institution. The report is bound to a tamper-evident verification ID, a specific methodology and an audit-preserved case record.

A report is operational input for adjudication. The adjudication decision — admissions, licensing, immigration, employment, equivalency — remains the responsibility of the receiving institution or authority.

A VeriCam report confirms
  • Credential details confirmed by an authoritative source

What the issuing institution attested through a primary-source channel.

  • The verification outcome at the time of issuance

    Reflected in the public authenticity record — VERIFIED / PARTIALLY_VERIFIED / NOT_VERIFIED / UNABLE_TO_VERIFY.

  • The verification methodology used

    Methodology v1: institution-confirmed, officer-reviewed, supervisor-approved.

  • The scope of reviewed evidence

Which documents and institutional responses informed the outcome.

  • The operational status of the report

VALID · EXPIRED · REVOKED · SUPERSEDED, visible on the public authenticity portal.

A VeriCam report does NOT
  • Award qualifications

VeriCam confirms what an institution attests — it does not issue or amend academic awards.

  • Accredit institutions

Accreditation rests with the ministry of higher education or sectoral regulator, not VeriCam.

  • Guarantee credential equivalency in another country

Equivalency is a separate evaluation performed by credential evaluators or admissions bodies.

  • Replace institutional admissions review

Admissions decisions remain the responsibility of the receiving institution.

  • Replace immigration adjudication

Visa and immigration decisions remain with the consular section or immigration authority.

  • Guarantee future institutional acceptance

Acceptance criteria evolve; a verified credential does not guarantee admission anywhere.

Outcome interpretation

How to interpret each outcome.

Every VeriCam report carries one of four outcomes. These are the authoritative interpretations for adjudicators — third-party paraphrases should be checked against this framework.

OutcomeOperational meaningAdjudicator guidance
VERIFIED
Primary-source confirmed
The issuing institution confirmed the credential through a primary-source channel.Rely on the report as the strongest evidence VeriCam can produce. Adjudicate within your own criteria.
PARTIALLY_VERIFIED
Some elements confirmed
Institution responded; some fields confirmed, others outside their attestation scope.Treat confirmed fields as verified; treat unconfirmed fields as unverified and decide accordingly.
NOT_VERIFIED
Institution did not confirm
Institution responded and did not confirm the credential as filed. Documents the institution's non-confirmation.The credential should not be treated as institution-confirmed. Consider the anti-fraud escalation path.
UNABLE_TO_VERIFY
No authoritative response
Institution did not respond within the SLA window. Documents the verification attempt. Not a finding of fraud. Adjudicators may request additional evidence or a fresh attempt at re-verification.
Evidence basis

How verification conclusions are formed.

Institutional responses

Direct confirmation from the issuing institution's registrar's office through its published official channel.

Registrar confirmations

Signed responses from named registrar staff with documented authority.

Exam board records

GCE Board and OBC archival records for secondary credentials.

Archival records

Historical cohort and graduation registers where available.

Submitted documents

Applicant-uploaded certificates, transcripts and IDs — used for matching, never substituted for confirmation.

Operational review procedures

Officer + supervisor adjudication under the documented methodology.

Re-verification & revocation

Reports reflect the outcome at issuance.

Reports reflect the verification outcome at the time of issuance. New institutional information, fraud indicators or operational corrections may result in:

  • Re-verification — a fresh case opens and produces a successor report;
  • Supersession — the prior record is marked SUPERSEDED and points to the successor;
  • Revocation — the prior record is marked REVOKED and must not be relied upon;
  • Updated outcome — a corrective record explaining the change.

Recipients are expected to re-verify the report via the public authenticity portal before reliance — especially for time-sensitive admissions or visa adjudication.

Public verification limits

What the public portal reveals — and never reveals.

Public authenticity portal
  • Verification status (VALID / EXPIRED / REVOKED / SUPERSEDED)
  • Verification outcome
  • Issuing institution
  • Credential category
  • Issuance and expiry dates
  • Masked applicant initials
Never publicly disclosed
  • Uploaded documents
  • Full applicant identity
  • Passport / ID copies
  • Detailed transcripts and grades
  • Internal institutional communications
  • Officer notes and internal evidence
Recipient responsibilities

Decisions remain with the receiving body.

VeriCam provides verification evidence. Recipient organisations retain full responsibility for the adjudication decisions they make using that evidence — including:

  • Admissions decisions
  • Immigration determinations
  • Employment evaluations
  • Equivalency assessments
  • Licensing and regulatory adjudications

Recipients should interpret reports within the scope of the stated outcome classification, the verification methodology, and the evidence cited.

Institutional neutrality

VeriCam operates independently.

VeriCam does not alter institutional records, influence academic outcomes, or replace official institutional authority. We document what the issuing institution attests and deliver that attestation to a named recipient through a governed workflow. Cameroonian institutions retain full authority over their academic records.

Operational integrity

Audit-preserved verification record.

Verification actions, institutional responses and report issuance events are timestamped with actor identity and recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail. The audit trail is retained under our privacy & retention policy and is admissible in disputes about the verification record.

  • Verification IDs are cryptographically derived
  • Two-person rule before report issuance
  • Public re-verification reflects live state
  • Revocations and supersessions are publicly visible
Liability & limitations

Reasonable care, scoped liability.

Verification decisions are made with reasonable care based on the evidence available at the time of issuance. VeriCam's liability for any individual verification report is limited as set out in the platform terms.

  • ·Reports describe what was verified and on what basis — they do not warrant facts outside that scope.
  • ·An UNABLE_TO_VERIFY outcome reflects the absence of an authoritative response and is not a finding of fraud.
  • ·Recipients should re-verify the report via the public authenticity portal before reliance.
  • ·Decisions to admit, license, employ, immigrate or evaluate equivalency remain with the recipient.
Interpretation & compliance

Adjudicator questions, report interpretation and disputes.

For interpretation guidance, scope disputes or escalations on a specific report. Identity verification required for case-specific enquiries.

  • ·Report interpretation. Adjudicator guidance on a specific outcome.
  • ·Scope disputes. Where adjudicators believe the report exceeds its scope.
  • ·Fraud escalations. Suspected forgery, misuse or impersonation.
  • ·Methodology questions. How a specific outcome was reached under ST-01 to ST-12.
