VeriCam Global
Trust & accountability

How VeriCam earns trust — every pillar, in the open.

Procurement-grade due diligence material for universities, embassies, regulators and large employers. Operator identity, in-country operations, methodology version, sample-report validation, dispute and revocation process, data protection posture and named operational contacts.

Pillar 01 · Operator

Who is behind VeriCam.

VeriCam is operated by VeriCam Global, L.L.C. (doing business as VeriCam Global Verifications), an independent verification-services company. We are not an accreditation body, not an exam board, not a degree-issuing institution, and not a state authority. We do not claim to be Cameroon's national qualifications portal. We are an independent operator providing primary-source verification of Cameroon-issued credentials for international adjudicators.

Pillar 02 · Cameroon presence

Local operations inside Cameroon.

Verification of Cameroonian credentials from abroad routinely breaks down at the institutional channel: emails go unanswered, phone lines change, some institutions have no public digital channel. Our differentiator is operational presence inside Cameroon — verification officers who escalate with documented in-person follow-up when digital channels do not respond.

See ST-05a · Local follow-up
  • Documented outreach

Channel, contact, attempt count, response and timestamp captured on every case.

  • Bilingual officers

Verification officers work in EN and FR across Anglophone and Francophone institutions.

  • Registrar office visits

When digital channels are silent, officers visit the institution's registrar in person.

  • Audit-preserved

Visit log, signed receipts, photographed records — attached to the case file.

Pillar 03 · Methodology

Published verification standards.

VeriCam operates under a published methodology — twelve numbered standards (ST-01 through ST-12) governing primary-source verification, officer review, AI-assisted intake controls, evidence retention, fraud detection, applicant consent, report integrity and report lifecycle (revocation / supersession). The methodology is the authoritative reference for how every case is handled.

  • ST-01 · Primary-source verification
  • ST-02 · Source authentication
  • ST-03 · Officer review (two-person rule)
  • ST-04 · AI-assisted intake controls
  • ST-05 · Institutional outreach
  • ST-05a · Local follow-up (Cameroon)
  • ST-06 · Evidence & audit trail
  • ST-07 · Applicant consent
  • ST-08 · Report integrity
  • ST-09 · Fraud signals & escalation
  • ST-10 · Revocation & supersession
  • ST-11 · Re-verification portal
  • ST-12 · Retention & legal hold

Dispute & revocation

How outcomes are challenged.

A verification outcome can be challenged by the applicant or the issuing institution. Disputed cases are reviewed by a senior officer, and reports can be revoked or superseded under ST-10. Revoked reports remain on the public portal with a clear withdrawn-status banner; the historical record is never silently deleted.

Pillar 05 · Network integrity

How institutions join the network.

Institution onboarding is gated by manual compliance review — no self-serve approval path. We verify ministry accreditation, confirm the registrar's identity through the institution's published official channels, and provision role-scoped access with audit-logged response systems.

Institution onboarding criteria
  • Accredited institutions only

Ministry of Higher Education or equivalent accreditation required at the time of onboarding.

  • Manual review before activation

Every onboarding is reviewed by a VeriCam compliance officer. There is no self-serve path.

  • Registrar identity confirmed

Direct contact via the institution's published official channels to confirm the named registrar before access is provisioned.

  • Role-scoped access

Registrar, deputy, supervisor roles. Least-privilege defaults.

  • Audit-logged responses

Every confirm / deny / partial / suspected-fraud entry preserved with actor identity and timestamp.

Pillar 06 · Data protection

Applicant data is governed.

Verification requires touching personally-identifying information. We treat applicant data as governed material: encrypted in transit and at rest, role-scoped access, append-only audit logs, retention controlled by policy, and legal-hold supported. The public verification record never exposes applicant documents — only the minimum identity fields required for adjudication.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest
  • Role-scoped access · least-privilege defaults
  • Append-only audit log per case
  • Documented retention policy + legal hold
  • Applicant consent before institutional outreach
  • Public record exposes only minimum identity fields
Named operational contacts

Operational contact channels for institutional engagement, security reports, fraud reports, and privacy enquiries. Each mailbox has a named operational lead and a one-business-day response commitment.

Scope discipline

What VeriCam is not.

Credible verification operators publish their limits. The list below is a permanent commitment, not marketing positioning.

  • Not an accreditation body

We do not accredit institutions or programmes.

  • Not an exam board

We do not issue or grade exams. The Cameroon GCE Board and OBC are the authoritative exam bodies.

  • Not a degree-issuing institution

We confirm credentials issued by others. We do not award any educational credential.

  • Not an equivalency evaluator

We do not produce credential-equivalency reports (WES, ECE, IQAS, ICAS do this). We confirm issuance facts.

  • Not a replacement for licensing authorities

Professional licensure is decided by the relevant council. We verify the underlying academic credential.

  • Not a state authority

We are an independent operator. We do not claim Cameroonian state authority.

Procurement & due diligence

We complete procurement reviews, DPAs and SIG / CAIQ questionnaires for enterprise engagements.

Universities, embassies, regulators and large employers have procurement-grade due diligence requirements. Operational contacts above receive SIG / CAIQ / DPA / vendor-assessment requests; expect a response from a named operational lead within one business day.
