Frequently asked

Public verification, explained.

Q
What is a verification ID?

A verification ID (e.g. RPT-CMR-2026-000123-A) is a tamper-evident identifier printed on every VeriCam report. It is cryptographically derived from the case record and cannot be guessed or forged. Anyone can enter it here to confirm the report exists and is current.

Q
What does 'Revoked' mean?

A revoked report has been withdrawn by VeriCam — typically because subsequent evidence indicated the credential was fraudulent, the issuing institution disavowed the response, or a clerical error required correction. Revoked reports must not be relied upon for any adjudication.

Q
Can reports expire?

Yes. Some reports — particularly those issued for short-window admissions or visa decisions — carry a validity period after which they are marked Expired. The verification portal will surface the expiry date. Adjudicators should request a fresh verification when working with expired reports.

Q
Are uploaded documents public?

No. The public verification portal never displays applicant documents, full names beyond initials, dates of birth or other sensitive personally identifying information. The portal only confirms the report exists, its status, issuing institution, credential category, outcome and date.

Q
Who can verify reports?

Anyone — the portal is intentionally public. Universities, embassies, employers, credential evaluators and immigration officers use it to confirm a VeriCam report cited in an applicant's file was actually issued by us, is current, and matches the credential category claimed.

Q
What if a report cannot be found?

First confirm the verification ID was transcribed correctly — IDs use a fixed format and a check character. If the ID matches the printed form but no report is found, treat the document as unverified and contact our compliance team. Forged report IDs are flagged in our anti-fraud register.
